I organize my Legos by color and size to find the pieces I need easily.
It is more convenient if they are not mixed up. These are the smallest pieces by color and type.
We decided to organize my legos into these containers after we went to Legoland in California. This is how the lego professionsals organized their pieces.
I didn't really like organizing them so much but I enjoy how it is organized and I can find certain pieces more easily than if they were all in one box.
I do have a big box to put all the pieces in on the bottom shelf until I get around to organizing them. I also have a few extra boxes for projects I am currently working on.
Christie seems to like the process of organizing. I just like it organized. Not the getting there part.
All containers came from The Container Store.
My 9 year old son, Noah, took one look at your photos and said, "That is incredible!"
I hope you have inspired him to at least make an attempt at organizing his stash.
Personally, I would enjoy the process. I love to organize.

Mrs. Barber,
My Mom likes the process of organizing too.
I am better at keeping it organized than she is.
We made a good Lego organizing team.

Wow- that is awesome. I am going to have to show Declan this. He tends to leave his lego sets together, but I would love it if he broke some of them down and organized them :)

I usually like the process of organizing, but I feel about cleaning the way you described organizing ... I like a clean house, but not so much the process of getting there.
That is awesome Lego organization.
