I could run and draw circles and line up things.
Pretty much all of the other communication skills were "severely delayed." That sounds so harsh.
I have always lined things up. Sometimes by height, by similarity (as in this photo of types of animals and the two from the Lion King obviously went together because even then genre was important).
Here I am lining up animals all to face forward and equally positioned in front of the line on the deck in the summer of 2000. (Mom recently went through a bunch of old pictures hence the embarrassing photos of my youth.)
I went from animals to cars. I mostly liked cars because I liked how they felt when they rolled on my skin or fit into my hand when we were going places. But when I couldn't convince someone to roll a Match Box car on my back, I lined them up.
I do not like people to mess with the things I line up because they may mess it up. They can be near it but not right next to it.
I would like to display some of my current collections like Lego Mini Figures, Star Wars action figures and Transformers in nice lines. But I don't want to have to dust them. Maybe I could get a shelf unity with some sort of dust guard plastic case on the shelves. That would be a good thing to have.
I like my current collections lined up because then I can see the scope and diversity of my collection. I do not like all of my Transformers in a box because the little pieces might become separated and then hard to find. I like them all lined up against a wall so they are in an even line.
I like the way a nice neat line looks. I feel accomplished. It is a tad relaxing. It bothers me, sorta, for things not to be lined up. But I don't go around lining up things that belong to other people.
Mom said she thought linging stuff up was because I was trying to "create order when my senses were telling me there was chaos all around me." Um, I just like things lined up. That is why I do it.
